On 1st August, we removed the fee to hold larger amounts of euros in your Wise account. Why did we charge this fee? Until recently, the European Central Bank...
Exchange rates are volatile right now, making it more expensive for us to move money between currencies. So we can keep our service low-cost, we’re currently not offering a guaranteed exchange rate for transfers in some currencies.
As soon as markets stabilise, we'll offer guaranteed rates again. But for now, you’ll get the live exchange rate for some currencies if you fund a transfer from another bank account. Your recipient might get a different amount, because rates change so quickly. You’ll see a warning message if your transfer’s affected.
To send an exact amount, you can use Wise currency balances.
For transfers using the following currencies we’re currently giving the live exchange rate instead of a guaranteed rate when you are sending to or from: ALL CURRENCIES
We'll be updating this list, in case we're adding more currencies. Always check your Wise interface to see if you’re getting a live or a guaranteed rate for your transfer.
