Wise Platform Mission Update Q2 2025

During the second quarter of the year, Wise Platform continued to build strong global momentum and we drove the industry conversation forward on key topics such as bank fintech partnerships, transparency and customer experience at leading events around the world, including our flagship event, Wise Connect in London.

Over the last three months, Wise Platform has also deepened its footprint in Europe with announcing new partnerships with Raiffeisen Bank International, a leading corporate and investment bank and Lunar, one of the most innovative digital banks in the Nordics. This means that millions of more people and businesses can now use Wise through the apps and providers they already rely on.

Meet our new partners

Raiffeisen Bank International

In May, we announced that leading European corporate and investment bank, Raiffeisen Bank International, has partnered with Wise Platform to enable fast, secure, low-cost and transparent international payments for their personal and business customers across the region. Raiffeisen will roll out the new feature across its network, enabling customers to move money faster and more conveniently directly from their existing Raiffeisen accounts.

Lunar

In June, Lunar, one of the leading digital banks in the Nordics, partnered with Wise Platform to bring fast, secure and transparent international payments to over one million customers across the region. With this partnership, Lunar became Wise Platform's first partner in the Nordics and the region’s leading digital bank to enable their customers to send money abroad quickly, securely, at low cost in 40 currencies - directly from their app.

UK & EMEA

Wise Connect London

In May, Wise Platform hosted its flagship conference, bringing together over 300 senior payments leaders from more than 100 banks and businesses to discuss one critical challenge: how to build exceptional payments experiences that meet evolving customer demands—and why partnerships have emerged as the most effective way to achieve this. The event saw speakers from leading organisations including The Bank of England, Citi Bank, J.P. Morgan, Monzo, Accenture, Raiffeisen Bank, Unicredit, Itaú Unibanco and Wise.

EBADay

At this year’s EBADay in Paris, a leading regional conference organised by the European Banking Association, Wise Platform’s Global Managing Director, Steve Naudé was joined on stage by Citi, BNY, HSBC and Visa to discuss the complexity and evolution of low-value cross-border payments. Steve highlighted that one of the main differences between high and low-value payments is the varying consumer expectations on speed, price and transparency and emphasised that the future lies in banks investing in innovating their offering.

Finance and Economics Forum

In Zurich, at one of the key events for the Swiss financial ecosystem, Manuel Sandhofer, Wise Platform’s EMEA GM, was invited to deliver a keynote on the future of bank-fintech partnerships, the Swiss fintech landscape and how we are building a network for the world’s money at Wise. Manuel highlighted that the best way for banks to future-proof against evolving trends and customer needs is by investing in innovation and sustainable partnerships with reliable providers.

Seamless Middle East

In Dubai, Kevin West, Wise Platform’s Bank Partnerships Lead for US & MEA, discussed how the increasing demand for convenience, accessibility and efficiency is driving adoption of agile, user-friendly providers with senior experts from the Commercial Bank of Dubai, N26 and RBL Bank. Kevin highlighted that providing a fast, transparent customer experience not only drives growth, but also builds trust and customer loyalty over time.

Nordic Fintech Summit

In Helsinki, Manuel Sandhofer, Wise Platform’s EMEA GM, delivered a keynote at the Nordic Fintech Summit, gathering over 700 key decision-makers from the Nordic and Baltic financial industry. Manuel explained how direct access and Wise Platform help us make instant cross-border payments a reality for people in the Nordics and beyond.

Payments Canada Summit

Ryan Zagone, Wise Platform’s Bank Partnerships Lead in North America travelled to Canada to share his insights on cross-border payments innovation for a stronger customer experiencea on panel with Scotiabank. Ryan talked about the pain points with cross-border, how banks and financial instituitons can work with Wise Platform to overcome them, and what's next for payments in Canada as well as globally.

APAC

APIDays Singapore

At leading global tech conference, this time hosted in Singapore, Sean Koh, Solution Director - APAC, shared his insights on a keynote discussing how Wise is powering the world's money through Wise Platform and how our robust infrastructure delivers value to our partners' customers. Max Sadlowski, Lead Solutions Engineer, was joined on stage by Standard Chartered, the Chair of the Singapore Fintech Association's Payments Committee and the Ambassador for the Emerging Payments Association Asia to deep dive into the secure scaling of APIs and their crucial role in improving end-to-end payments for businesses and consumers.
