Good news! You can now use UPI to send money to India. Forget fumbling around with long bank details. All you need is the recipient’s UPI ID, which is a combo of their name and bank, and you’re all set.
You’ll still get all the good stuff by sending with UPI — like fairer rates — but it’s just that bit faster.
To send money to India using UPI:
- Log in to your Wise account
- Select Send and enter your amount
- Set INR as the recipient currency
- Choose to add a new recipient, and tap UPI
- Add your friend or family member with their UPI ID
- Check your details and tap to send. Ta da!
