Do Filipinos need a visa to Turkey?
Filipinos do require a visa to visit Turkey, be it for business or tourism. Most people will be eligible for the regular Visitor visa, which is physically attached to the passport, but people who have an existing and valid visa or residence permit for a Schengen country, the United States, the United Kingdom or Ireland will be able to apply for an electronic Visitor visa online¹.
Regular Visitor visas will require the applicant to apply through AgentTR², which is the official organisation that the Turkish Embassy uses for visa applications in the Philippines.
Is Turkey visa free for Filipinos?
Turkey is not visa-free for Filipinos, unfortunately. Filipino citizens must obtain either an eVisa or regular Visitor visa for visits up to 30 days for tourism or business purposes. However, if you are simply transiting (no more than 24 hours) in Turkey and you stay within the airport, you do not require a transit visa if you have a confirmed onward flight.
Types of Turkey visas available for Philippine citizens
Depending on your intended purpose for travelling to Turkey, there are multiple visas available. For tourists, there are the Visitor visa or the eVisa, while people who are intending to study or work in Turkey will be looking at the Student visa or the Working visa. The eVisa and regular Visitor visas are typically single-entry visas that are valid for a maximum of 30 days, although the exact length is subject to your itinerary.
Turkey is also a popular place for aesthetic treatments such as hair transplants, liposuction and more, and there’s even a medical treatment visa that can be applied for. If you’re looking to visit a family member in Turkey, there is also a Family Reunion visa for that purpose.
Turkey visa requirements for Filipinos
Here is what you need to know about the Turkey visa requirements for Filipinos in 2025. The requirements listed below have been taken from AgentTR³, which is otherwise known as the Turkey Visa Application Center in Manila.
Turkey tourist visa requirements
When applying for a tourist visa for Turkey, the applicant’s passport must be valid for at least six months after departure and the visa application form must be accompanied by a criminal record document (otherwise known as an NBI Clearance certificate), hotel and flight reservations, financial supporting documents and, if applied for with a spouse and children, a marriage certificate and translated family record.
To help improve your chances of a successful application, you can also provide copies of relevant pages from old and current passports that show your travels abroad, ownership of property as well as an invitation letter if you are visiting a friend or family there. If you have an invitation from someone in Turkey, the application must also include documents for the inviter’s residence-lease contract or title deed, work statements and financial documents like bank statements.
You will also require two 40mm x 55mm passport photos taken against a white background, which can’t be more than 6 months old.

Turkey work visa requirements
Most of the requirements for a work visa are about the same as a tourist visa. Most importantly, you’ll need a passport that’s valid for at least six months after departure. You will also need a completed visa application form, the criminal record document (NBI Clearance certificate) and two 40mm x 55mm passport photos taken against a white background.
However, you also need to provide the original job contract between you and the inviting company that is signed by the authorised manager, with the role in the company stated in the contract. You will also be required to provide a diploma, degree or other educational certificates that prove your proficiency for the job. If these documents are in Tagalog, a Turkish or English translation will be required.
After the application has been completed, a reference number will be provided for the inviting company to apply through the Ministry of Labour and Social Security of the Republic of Turkey within 10 days. Confirmed flight and hotel reservations will need to be provided after the visa has been approved.
How to apply for a Turkey visa as a Filipino
For travellers who have an existing and valid visa or residence permit for the US, UK, Ireland or the Schengen countries, applying for a Turkey tourist eVisa is incredibly easy and can be done completely online. If you don’t meet the requirements or if you require a student or work visa, you’ll have to go the more traditional route and apply through the AgentTR Turkey Visa Application Center in Manila.
If you’re not currently living in the Philippines and you can only apply for a regular visa, you should apply for a Turkey visa from the Turkish embassy or consulate that is closest to you.
Where to apply for a Turkey visa in the Philippines?
The AgentTR office is at Unit 17E Petron Megaplaza Tower, Makati, Manila, and that’s where Filipinos will be able to apply for the physical Visitor visa as well as work, student and treatment visas for Turkey.
For the eVisa, eligible travellers will be able to apply online via Turkey’s Electronic Visa Application System.
How much is a visa to Turkey from the Philippines?
The visa fees vary depending on which type of visa you’re applying for. For an eVisa, it will cost 26 USD (approximately 1,483.66 PHP) in total, which can be paid for with either a debit or credit card. As for a normal visa, AgentTR does not publish their fees online, but there are reports online as recently as five months from the time of writing that the current fee for a single-entry visa is 190 USD (approximately 10,842.16 PHP) for normal processing, which can take up to 30 days for Filipinos or as long as 1-2 months for people holding foreign passports.
There is also a VIP option that cuts that time down to 12-20 days for Filipinos and 3-4 weeks for foreign passport holders. This will cost more, however, with the price rising to 255 USD (approximately 14,551.31 PHP) for a single-entry visa.

While the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not mention how long decisions on applications take to be made, they do recommend applying for visas at least one month in advance before the planned dates of travel.
