How to connect your Wise account with FreeAgent

Connecting your Wise account with FreeAgent is done via Open Banking, which means Wise shares data about your account activities with FreeAgent. FreeAgent pulls transactions from your Wise account, allowing you to view all connected Wise currencies directly in FreeAgent for easy tracking of transactions.

To connect your Wise account with your FreeAgent account:

  1. Log in to your FreeAgent account

  2. Go to the Banking tab

  3. Depending if you're a new or existing user: - New user: Click on Connect your bank - Existing user: You'll be directed to the Bank Accounts Summary page. Click on Enable Bank Feed, located in the top right corner.

  4. Under Select your bank, search for Wise

  5. On the web, go to Wise and log in

  6. Choose the currencies you want to connect to FreeAgent — the currency of your account needs to match the currency of the FreeAgent bank account you're enabling the bank feed for

  7. Select Connect

The authorisation to share your data will expire after 90 days. You’ll need to authorise sharing your data again at this point. This is due to regulations set by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regarding 90-day reauthentication rules. For more information, you can visit the Open Banking website.


How to disconnect your Wise account from FreeAgent

To disconnect your Wise account from FreeAgent, go to your Wise account on the web:

  1. Go to Integrations and tools under Settings

  2. Go to Apps and software

  3. Click Disconnect for FreeAgent
